Ok. So my daily blood sugars have been awful this week, but I got back results from my first post-diagnosis blood test.
Total Cholesterol 185
Triglycerides 204 (needs to be below 150, oops!)
HDL 59 (needs to be above 39)
LDL 85 (needs to be below 130)
That's all pretty awesome.
Liver function is "Normal" which is nice, since I've had problems with that in the past.
But the big news is the A1c/GHb. This number indicates long-term glucose levels. Normal is %7. My current number is %8.1. That's still "abnormal" but in July it was %15 and the doctors were about to admit me on that percentage alone.
Almost makes up for the fact that I've been eating like a rabbit, exercising like a mad man, for four months and have lost about two pounds total.
